me as a child:
I was born in Prague, in the afternoon on the 16th of February. At the age of 5, I moved with my dad to Australia. We lived on the coast; and I went to pre-school. At first I found it hard to learn and to understand the language. As a child; I was usually quiet and very shy. I had very short boy hair and I felt non-confident in my appearance. I was involved in many sports activities and I loved to run. I always wanted to play with my toys and didn’t always want to share with my cousin. I was always the tall girl in my class; whilst everyone else was still growing and quite short. My academic results were good; and I enjoyed learning. I was very eager to find and explore what was in my backyard. I was always following my friends and was never a leader. I was always interested in fashion and clothing; and would dress myself up in clothes that I chose. I soon became confident with myself; and tried to overcome the fact that I had very short hair.
Me now:
I have now become more matured and have had many responsibilities which I had to be responsible for. School work has affected me as a person; as at times I may be under a lot of stress and may get moody. However; I try to be an honest and loyal person to my friends and enjoy the company of my friends and family. I have had many leadership roles during my time in St Hildas; and have enjoyed the opportunities. I am unfortunately; still a quiet and shy person when I am around people I do not really know; however; I try to work on my confidence and to achieve being more of a leader.

What is a metaphor?
Metaphors are a way to describe something. Authors use them to make their writing more interesting or entertaining. All metaphors, say that each thing is something that is obviously not. Metaphors are figures of speech through which words or phrases are used to describe or qualify others with which they are not normally related, and it just involves a comparison. An example of a metaphor is; Life is a journey or; my memory if foggy.
What is a visual metaphor?
A visual metaphor can also be known as a pictorial metaphor. This a metaphor in which something that is presented visually is compared to something that belongs to another category of things than the first, also presented visually. Visual/pictorial metaphors are used often in advertising, but also in cartoons and art films. Some examples are; red means stop, green means go, fingerprints and whirls which are visible in wood, broccoli looking like trees, cauliflower looking like clouds, the ponds surface looks like a mirror.
