This is my Poltical Collage:
This collage is meant to be a political collage about all the men that went to war and all the women who grieved for the loss of their loved ones. I have used a canon, and at the end is a young male which is being bombed by the canon. This is showing that many people were killed during the war. In behind the canon is an old woman who looks like she is remembering her loved one, and i made her hold a frame of an officer. There si also two other young men, they are showing grief and misery. It also shows how men wen to war at such a young age. In the right there is an older man with medals most likely from serving in war. Above his head is a bible, this is to symbolise how many men prayed to be safe adn that tehir families are okay. In this collage i have used balance in colour and this makes the collage unite. Also, i have used different colours, which unite with the old, vintage colours from the flag in the background. I have used juxtoposition with the medals placed on the old man's chest. This collage presents the audience with a message that the men in war have suffered a great deal and now we need to stop the violence and have peace.
This is my Enviromental Collage:
This collage is against global warming. My collage is showing ice which has turned into frozen icicles. I put some dry land at the bottom, to show that the ice is melting at a rapid rate. I put a protestor on the bottom aswell, to show that we should be protesting against the green house gas emmissions. It is seen in the middle that a ship is stranded on dry land, because of no waters. On the side, there is a man and a woman. It is seen that they are very hot and the ice is melting on their faces. In the top left corner is a small watch. This is showing that time is ticking by and that we need to act fast. At the top of the collage is the word, "No." This is meant to be a strong statement adressing this huge issure that is facing our world. We need to say, "No," and act fast before its too late! In my collage i have tried to use balance, as i have some warm colours on the bottom and also on the top. I have used a contrasting colour scheme of the warm colours and the cold colours. This is to signify the coldness of the ice, but also the melting of the ice to signify that the sun is the one causing the ice to melt. (sun= red, orange colours) I've also used juxtopostion as the faces are much larger in proportion than the small men in the bakcgournd climbing. This collage is meant to be a strong message against global warming and to reduce the speed of global warming before the time runs out!
This is my Indigenous Collage:
This collage is for "Sorry Day". It is representing the rights of the Indigenous. In my collage it is seen near the middle, that there is a map of the world, This is representing that al the countries should be treated equally and that the world is one uniting of all forms of shapes and sizes and all races and colours. On the right hand side, there are two people, and the Aboriginee is pointing to the world. This is showing that she is trying to show to everyone that we are all equals in this owrld. It is also showing that an Aboriginee and a white woman are respecting each other. The background of this collage is a place in W.A and gives the collage a real Australian feel. The two faces on each side of the world is Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. These two people are from the famous new movie called, "Australia." Which is a great movie which depicts the Stolen Generationsat. These two characters respected the rights of the Indigenous. Also in the collage, there are kids which are having fun, which is the result from the "Sorry Day." Indigenous families aren't afraid that their children will be taken away from them. In bold letters on the side it says, "Sorry." I think this collage is showing the unity of all people coming together to say, "Sorry." In my collage it is seen, that there is unity and balance. I think my collage has contrasting colours, as there is the green trees and the orange dirt. There are mostly warm colours in my collage, because of the Australian themed background. I used scale/juxtoposition, as the people are much larger that they should be in reality. Also, the Indigenous man is carrying a large $50 note. I think i did well on this collage. (:
And this is my Dream Collage:
This is my dream collage, but is also is a poltical message. The main theme that catches the attention is the black and white photograph or John Lennon and Yoko Ono naked. I think this is showing that it's the naked truth. The main theme is hunger, and John Lennon and Yoko are expressing the naked thruth about hunger and poverty. The backgroudn is at some deserted place, showing that there is no food. There is also a lid from a Yoplait yoghurt. Where it says, "no fat," i got letters to change it to it said, "no food." In the corners are little children and one has a skull as her head because of the hunger she went through. There are also in the background some people of all races- to shows that hunger happens everywhere. In this collage i have used texture from the lid to create a 3,D effect. I've also used the strong green colour of the lid of the yoghurt lid. Ive used balance and all the pictures create unity. This collage is also a strong message towards the uissure of poverty.
